Happening September 18 - October 4, 2026 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, The Big E is the worldās only multi-state fair, celebrating all six New England states in one place. Think of it as a harvest festival, state fair, craft show, and food adventure all rolled into oneācomplete with parades, concerts, livestock, rides, and more fried dough than you can imagine.
Vermont Flannel has been part of The Big E for more than 20 years, and this year we're celebrating 10 years on Commonwealth Ave. Youāll find us in our beautiful post & beam barn, packed wall-to-wall with soft, American-made flannels. Every year, we design a limited-release plaid just for Big E fairgoers. This yearās pattern is called Commonwealth, and it comes with a story worth telling.
Commonwealth is our way of celebrating two big milestones that landed in the same year. In 2026, weāre marking 10 years on Commonwealth Ave at The Big E. At the same time, America is celebrating its 250th anniversary, giving us the perfect excuse to make a new red, white, and blue plaid. The result is a limited-edition flannel made for the occasionāand made the Vermont Flannel way.
